Selena sung, "Missing My Baby", with Full Force. They were her backing vocalist that sung with singer Lisa Lisa in the 80's. The song was written by Selena's brother A.B.  Missing My Baby is a great R&B song. I think that Selena had great talent for soul music. She could sing and do just about anything. I do not think Selena ever performed with Full Force outside of the studio. If she was living today, she probably would have had the opportunity to perform with other recording artists.

Whenever I would listen to music, it was always American music. I knew nothing about Mexican music. I knew a little bit about their style from movies and westerns. The first place that I heard Selena was television. It was my mother that knew she was a star the minuet she laid eyes on her. She saw Selena singing No Me Queda Mas on a show like Extra or Inside Edition. I remember my mother calling my name to go watch her too. I was down in my bedroom, and she was in the kitchen. I will never forget it. When I laid eyes on Selena, I knew she was a star too. My mother said, "She is so pretty." When I saw Selena, I was speechless because I had never seen anyone in the music business like her. She was new and different. Selena had a different sounding voice than all of the rest of the singers that I have heard. The thing that put the icing on the cake was Selena was singing in a different language so well. The language did not matter. Through it all, I could tell that she was a great singer. Her appearance and the way she performed told me that she was a singing star and movie star. We did not get to see Selena play in major movies as a big top actress. Still, what she did said it all.

Selena Bidi Bidi Bom Bom

Selena is the one that came up with the song Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. I believe that Selena had some songwriting talent like her brother, A.B. Quintanilla 111.  It was a song released in 1994. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. I think Selena was able to write this song because I believe she was inspired to do so. When you are inspired to do something, that's when the best of you can come out. Sometimes you can discover things within you that you didn't know that you had. I think that's what happened to Selena making this song.

Selena - Where Did the Feeling Go

Selena sings, "Where Did the Feeling Go". Some days when I'm all alone, I think of this song. People are not close as they use to be. Our good music is fading, and it is not the same. There is no feeling. Sometimes it seems there is no love. People don't write about love and express it like they use to. It seems people are not living the love like they use to. That's why it's so hard to let go of the past. If you know what's real, you will miss the best.

I like the way this video was made. There are different segments of Selena singing her song. It almost reminds me of a particular scene in the movie, "Selena", near the end. This is the real Selena and great memories of her through the years.

This is Selena before the super stardom. It is a lost tape from the tabloid news, Hard Copy. The old tabloid news had things recorded for our memories. It probably meant nothing to you when you saw this from Hard Copy in the past. It's nice seeing this old lost tape of Selena because it is rare.
